On May 20, 2025, Cambodian Prime Minister Prince Hun Manet attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the opening of Conch Cement in Phnom Penh. Conch Cement in Phnom Penh is a joint venture between Conch Group and Cambodia's KT Pacific Group. Utilizing internationally leading production processes and energy-saving and environmentally friendly technologies, the company has built a 5,000 t/d clinker production line, a supporting 2.2 million t/d cement mill, and a 9 MW waste heat power generation system. The project was ignited on February 10, 2025, with the kiln system successfully feeding on February 14. The first truckload of cement was shipped on February 20, and the company achieved profitability within the first month of commissioning.
