The 2026 Fortune China 500 list was released recently. Covering both listed and unlisted companies, the ranking and its statistics offer insights into the latest development trends of China’s largest enterprises. The combined operating revenue of the 500 listed companies in 2025 hit 14.26 trillion US dollars, an increase of roughly 0.3% from last year’s cohort. Their net profit reached 794.9 billion US dollars, rising by around 5% year-on-year.The revenue threshold for making this year’s list stands at approximately 3.54 billion US dollars. Measured in US dollars, China’s total GDP in 2025 amounted to 19.63 trillion US dollars. The aggregate revenue of the 500 firms on the list accounts for nearly three-quarters of China’s GDP that year. How have enterprises from Anhui Province performed?According to the list, sixteen Anhui enterprises have secured a place this year, registering a total operating revenue of 186.79 billion US dollars and total profits of 8.38 billion US dollars. In the provincial ranking across China, Anhui ranks 10th nationwide by the number of listed firms. The sixteen enterprises are as follows: Chery Automobile Co., Ltd., Tongling Nonferrous Metals Group Holdings Co., Ltd., Anhui Conch Group Co., Ltd., Sungrow Power Supply Co., Ltd., Anhui Construction Engineering Group Co., Ltd., Huishang Bank Co., Ltd., Anhui Chujiang Science & Technology New Materials Co., Ltd., Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Group Co., Ltd., Gotion High-tech Co., Ltd., Huaibei Mining Holdings Co., Ltd., Huaihe Energy (Group) Co., Ltd., Shannon Semi, Anhui Lingtong Group Holdings Co., Ltd., Shanying International Holdings Co., Ltd., Anhui Wenergy Company Limited, and iFLYTEK Co., Ltd.The listed enterprises span multiple sectors including automobile manufacturing, non-ferrous metals, building materials, photovoltaic energy storage, finance, new materials and artificial intelligence, outlining a clear path of Anhui’s transformation from traditional manufacturing to technology and innovation-driven industries. It is worth noting that the 16 "Anhui representatives" on the list mark an increase of three companies compared with last year: Anhui Conch Group Co., Ltd., Shannon Semi and iFLYTEK Co., Ltd., demonstrating the continuous expansion and quality upgrading of Anhui’s industrial echelon.Conch Group’s return consolidates the foundation of Anhui’s traditional building materials industry. As a global leader in the cement sector, Conch rejoins the ranking with revenue of roughly 18.17 billion US dollars, showcasing the solid strength of traditional manufacturing.Shannon Semi’s debut on the list serves as a vivid footnote to the rise of Anhui’s semiconductor industry. Ranking 410th with revenue of 4.9 billion US dollars, the company holds core authorized agency rights for SK Hynix HBM memory chips. Seizing the boom in AI computing power, it has emerged as a dark horse within Anhui’s chip industry.iFLYTEK ranks 483rd with revenue of 3.77 billion US dollars. Its inclusion fills a critical gap in artificial intelligence within the cohort of Anhui enterprises. From intelligent speech to the commercial rollout of large language models, and from educational scenarios to industrial applications, iFLYTEK’s technologies are penetrating growing numbers of industrial links, securing an irreplaceable position for Anhui on China’s artificial intelligence landscape.Sixteen entries and the 10th national ranking are commendable achievements. Nevertheless, measured against nationwide competition, Anhui’s enterprise group still faces pressure to achieve further progress.Still, the growing presence of "Anhui representatives" on a national ranking sends a clear signal: the industrial strength from Anhui is gaining wider recognition.Source: Anhui Daily
